Leather belt

A classic thick veg-tan belt. The pattern computes total length from your waist size, lays out 5 holes and marks the buckle fold and prong slot. The buckle stays swappable thanks to Chicago screws.

Assembly overview

  1. 1Cut the strap (ideally with a strap cutter from a bend) and transfer the marks.
  2. 2Punch the 4.5 mm holes, 6 mm rivet holes and cut the prong slot.
  3. 3Bevel the edges, burnish (Tokonole + slicker), optionally dye the edge.
  4. 4Fold the end around the buckle at the fold line and secure with Chicago screws.
